Director, Karan Johar, has always thought of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol as his lucky mascots. So, it isn’t in the least bit surprising that Kajol will have a cameo in his upcoming Dharma Productions movie, Student of the Year.
The last time we saw Kajol work with Karan, it was as a lead actress in the hit movie, My Name is Khan paired opposite Shahrukh Khan. Kajol has played the lead actress for several of Karan’s films and their association has mostly produced hits including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, etc.
Although Kajol doesn’t have a lead in Student of the Year, she is more than happy with her cameo. The movie is Karan Johar’s return to direction after My Name is Khan. Student of the Year revolves around campus life and tells a tale of three youngsters in their college days. The movie features fresh faces of Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Siddharth Malhotra. All the three youngsters are excited and determined to make a mark in the industry. Student of the Year is slated for its release on October 19, 2012!
