Humber College to host Inaugural Rogers Punjabi International Film Festival (PIFF)

Humber College Institute of Technology & Advanced Learning (Ontario, Canada) is partnering with the first-ever Rogers Punjabi International Film Festival (PIFF), brought to you by RBC to showcase Punjabi culture. The college will host screenings of a variety of feature films, short films and documentaries at its North campus on May 19 and 20, 2012. A series of speaking panels and workshops will also be held.

“Hosting PIFF is a natural fit for the college given our highly acclaimed film degree, diploma programs, and our diverse community. We are pleased to welcome PIFF and to help celebrate Punjabi culture at Humber,” said Rani Dhaliwal, VP Finance and Administrative Service, Humber College.

PIFF Toronto 2012 will be a four day extravaganza presenting the best feature films, documentaries and short films from around the world on themes of Punjabi culture and identity. The festival will feature concerts, gala events, film parties, seminars, workshops and networking opportunities. Roger’s PIFF will be held from May 18 – May 21, 2012 in Ontario, Canada as part of South Asian Heritage Monthcelebrations with events in Toronto, Brampton and Mississauga.
