Preeya Kalidas says there’s Love Between Us

Singer/Songwriter and one of the UK’s most recognized film and TV actress’ Preeya Kalidas is back with her new release ‘Love Between Us.’ The song follows up on her last offering in November 2011, the energetic ‘It’s A Problem.’

Since then, Kalidas has been on screen, returning to the nation’s most loved TV show ‘Eastenders’ as Amira Masood, recently leaving the show after her second stint as part of the popular ‘Masood’ family. Having continued writing and recording music, Kalidas now releases her next track, an up-tempo urban ballad with a Bollywood feel! ‘Love Between Us’ features a sample from the classic Bollywood track ‘My Name is Lakhan’, taken from the 1989 release ‘Ram Lakhan’.

Kalidas said:

“‘Ram Lakhan’ was a classic Bollywood film I enjoyed watching when I was growing up. I’ve always wanted to work with music from this iconic film and was given the chance to on this song. I think the way that Davinche has produced it adds a real edge to the song and the early response on ‘Love Between Us’ has been brilliant.”

‘Love Between Us’ was co-written by Kalidas with the super-talented Davinche, who also produced the track (previous work includes Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32, Cleo Sol). Kalidas has been working with a host of A-list artists, producers and writers for her forthcoming debut album. ‘Love Between Us’ is the 1st of 3 tracks that are out this year.
