Some of the finest musicians to emerge from East London’s genre-pioneering music scene will be performing as BEast @ XOYO is set to treat industry fans to a memorable flagship event as part of BEast on Saturday, March 10th!!
The night will celebrate the music created in East London, from drum & bass and dubstep to underground, electro and all forms of live music that have a strong association with London’s creative mecca. Hosted by Orifice Vulgatron, it is sure to feature a truly world class line up, in some case exclusive performances!
BEast is a year round collaborative project hosted by Community Music, a youth and community organization supporting emerging musicians of all backgrounds. They provide seminars for new musicians, free rehearsal space and a series of industry workshops for the youth in London, focusing on music and drawing in representatives from Soundcloud, Sunday Best and other industry professionals to advise young people. CM is the longest running community music company in the UK and has been working with young musicians from a variety of backgrounds since 1983. With a wealth of experience, they’ve trained over 1500 professional musicians!

“BEast @ XOYO is a major event showcasing some of the most exciting music on the East London music scene at the moment. For CM, it is a landmark event in a long history of working with and supporting new and developing artists, beginning with Asian Dub Foundation back in the nineties to the exciting, dynamic artists of today such as Shiva Soundsystem and the Nasha Experience. The BEast project has also allowed us the opportunity to work with new and upcoming artists and musicians and showcase them alongside their more established peers. We would like to thank the Arts Council for their support in making this work possible, and look forward to developing the BEast Fest in 2013.”
