SING! in Toronto

SING! is the Toronto Vocal Arts Festival. The festival gathers a cappella groups from near and far for concerts, workshops and more. Toronto’s first festival of its kind features a range of artists, from choral ensembles to pop groups, beatboxers to eighties enthusiasts, up-and-comers to veteran performers and Grammy-winners to local favourites.

The event takes place over the weekend from Friday April 13th 2012- Sunday April 15th at the Harbourfront Centre. More than 60 events including performances and master classes will fill Harbourfront Centre with the sounds of singing.

Concert highlights include the UK vocal sensations the Swingle Singers, Grammy-winning New York Voices, seven-time gold- and platinum-record-selling group the Nylons, the internationally-renowned chamber choir Elmer Iseler Singers.

Toronto Vocal Arts Festival is Toronto’s inaugural a cappella festival dedicated to celebrating Canadian and International vocal artists, and joined in collaboration by the same goals: to illustrate that the voice knows neither limits nor constraints of genre, language or cultural background; to inspire and educate today’s youth; and to foster a new and revitalized patronage for the vocal arts
