Dharma Production’s latest gem is the young and talented Sonam Nair, their first female director! Karan Johar is very selective in launching new directors, a flashback will tell you that he has launched a total of 9 debutant directors under his banner. Starting from Nikhil Advani in ‘Kal Ho Na Ho’ to Shakun Batra in ‘Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu.’
“At Dharma, we have already introduced nine directors. We are extremely proud of their films. Taking the train of thought further, we plan to expand our production base and launch many more first time filmmakers in the immediate future.”
Sonam Nair will make her directorial debut with a Dharma Productions movie. The title of the film is not final yet, however, Karan Johar has officially announced the news and we think that this year is just going to get more exciting for Dharma Productions.
