Let it SNOW

I’ve been a New Englander my whole life, and like other New Englanders, am always complaining about just how much snow we get.  However, this is the first winter I can say I truly miss the snow!  Luckily, I can get my snow-quota in another way (other than the white stuff that comes from the sky!)  Instead, I have a movie named “SNOW” to look forward to!

SNOW stars Kalista Zackhariyas and opens in all Canadian Theaters February 24th.  This debut follows widely successful festival runs in Canada and the US.  Rumor has it that the lead actress, Zackhariyas, will be present at some of the screenings!  Zackhariyas is an Actress, Writer/filmmaker and has even recently penned her first novel!

The movie follows the life of Zackhariyas’s character, Parvathi, as a Tsunami survivor.

On Zackhariyas, Rohan Fernando, director of Snow states:

“Kalista took a character that had little dialogue on the page and transformed her into a profoundly expressive heroine. She imbued a seemingly passive victim with quiet power and graceful defiance.”

Adding further praise, Suzanne Lively, producer of Snow states:

“Kalista’s portrayal of Parvati allows each of us to individually connect to the character in a way that is reminiscent of the solitary experience of grief.”

So, be sure to check out the movie “SNOW” and keep it locked to UrbanAsian.com!
