Hailing from the new age genre of Hindi cinema that presents a fresh and youth-targeted perspective, ‘Ekk Deewana Tha’ retells the classic, intense love story with fresh impetus for a new generation of cinemagoers.
The film is a Hindi remake of Tamil filmmaker Gautham Menon’s super hit ‘Vainnaithaandi Varuvaa’, in which Prateik stars opposite British model-actress, former Miss Teen World and Miss Teen Great Britain, Amy Jackson, who makes her Bollywood debut after a successful launch in South Indian cinema. The beautiful love story is complimented by music from multi-Oscar winner, A.R. Rahman (‘Slumdog Millionaire’) with lyrics penned by India’s most popular and sought-after lyricist, Javed Akhtar.
The film is due to release in cinemas worldwide on February 17th.
