Prita makes History on the ICE!

Looks like the South Asian Industry is hitting the ice! Prita Chhabra will be singing the National Anthem, to inaugurate the event in Ottawa, as the Stanley Cup Champion BOSTON BRUINS visit the OTTAWA SENATORS. The Indo-Canadian Community of Ottawa is proud to present INDIA DAY at SCOTIABANK PLACE™ on Wednesday December 14th.

Be a part of History, as PRITA becomes the First South Asian Recording Artist to sing the U.S. and Canadian Anthems at an NHL Game.

Catch the INDIA theme through the evening, as Hockey fans will be greeted with vibrant sounds of Bollywood and the Dhol beat, along with the appearance of various Surprise Guests.

Canadian Artist tells Urban Asian how great-full and excited she is to perform in such a massive event!

Will you be watching the game! Don’t forget to watch!

Getting to sing both the American and French Canadian anthems for the NHL really hits home. Hockey is a sport that I’ve been surrounded by growing up, and it is a sport that I love to watch! I’m so honored and so amazed with my life that I not only get to perform both anthems, but that I am also the first South Asian recording artist to sing them for the NHL! I never thought in a million years that God would bless me with an opportunity like this! I hope to continue building the bridge for more South Asians to get opportunities like this, and to keep proving that South Asians can do anything we set our heart and minds to!”
