The 12th Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF) is set to host the South-East Asian premiere of director Rohit Gupta’s internationally acclaimed award winning film ‘Life! Camera Action..’.
The film has been chosen to screen in the ‘Cinema of the World’ dramatic competitive section at the festival held between January 12th and 20th, 2012, in Bangladesh.
Festival director Ahmed Muztaba Zamal said: “We are honoured and thankful to Rohit for having us host the South-East Asia premiere of ‘Life! Camera Action… at the DIFF 2012.”
The general theme of the ongoing festival is ‘better film, better audience, better society. There will be over 200 films from 55 countries featured at the event, which will be attended by celebrities and dignitaries from around the world.
‘Life! Camera Action..’ has a New York-based ensemble cast led by Dipti Mehta, Shaheed Woods, Noor Naghmi, John Crann, Swati Kapila and Subodh Batra amongst others.
Director Rohit Gupta said: “I am happy to see our film chosen to screen in the Cinema of the World section at the prestigious DIFF 2012.”
