Michael Jackson’s doctor, Dr. Conrad Murray was convicted Monday of involuntary manslaughter for supplying Jacskon with powerful propofol, a drug used in the operating room to induce anesthesia, to help him sleep.
Dr. Murray refused to testify at his trial and had stated outside of court that he was not aware of Jackson’s problems with addiction and that Jackson did not reveal his entire medical history to the doctor.
Dr. Murray stated that he had only given Jackson a small dosage of Propofol hours before he died so he thought it unnecessary to mention to the paramedics that Jackson took the drug, Dr. Murray thought it wouldn’t have affected Jackson. The defense’s story goes that Jackson had gave himself an extra dosage when Dr. Murray left the room.
Murray now faces a possible 4 years in prison and the loss of his medical license! He’s currently at the Los Angeles County Jail awaiting his sentencing which is scheduled for November 29.
