It seems to be taking the music scene by storm and with over one million hits on Youtube – ‘Kolaveri Di’ is already hailed as a huge success. The song, which features in the upcoming Tamil film ‘3’ starring Shruti Hassan, has been penned and sung by the films lead actor Dhanush.
After actors like Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, and Abhishek Bachchan lending their vocals to film tracks, Dhanush has also found success with his vocal talent.
The film’s music director Anirudh who is a newcomer, is thrilled with the songs success and is glad his experiment paid off. Dhanush actually wrote the lyrics while he had some spare time on the shoot.
Incidentally the film is being directed by his wife Aishwarya (Rajnikant’s daughter). Dhanush has featured in critically acclaimed films like ‘Kadhal Kondein’, ‘Pudhepettai’ and ‘Aadukalam’ for which he won the National Film Award for Best Actor.
