Soulful rendition by Daler Mehndi

He shot to fame with the release of his first pop album ‘Bolo Ta Ra Ra’ back in 1995 and developed a world wide following after internet phenomenon ‘Tunak Tunak Tun’, however his brand new album takes singing sensation Daler Mehndi back to his original roots.

The album ‘Bhalo Bhalo Re Kirtaniya’ is a tribute to the traditional institution of kirtan and Daler has rendered his soulful voice and composition by singing ‘Gurbani Shabads’ from Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.

Speaking about the new release, he said: “Concerts, shows and songs are an intrinsic part of my life, but my soul belongs to kirtan, and as promised to my fans I’ll continue to serve and celebrate with kirtan.”

The sacred words in the album are said to expound devotion, love, celebration and absolute bliss, connecting the listeners with all-pervading divinity elavating the consciousness of one’s existence.

Dedicated to Shriman Sant Sujan Singh Ji Maharaj – a revered exponent of kirtan, ‘Bhalo Bhalo Re Kirtaniya’ celebrates the 100 years of Maharaj Ji’s birth centenary.
