In some sad news for Pavitra Rishta fans, the lead actor of the show, Sushant Singh Rajput who plays “Manav” has supposedly filed the necessary paperwork to quit the show around Deepawali time.
There are plenty of rumors buzzing about why he is quitting the show. One rumor suggests that he has taken this step as a result of a fall out with show producer, Ekta Kapoor. Another rumor suggests that the actor has decided to return to film school to learn direction. According to this rumor, Sushant will head to US to learn film making and will also dance on Broadway.
Either way, the end result is no more Sushant on Pavitra Rishta. His publicist confirmed the news of his quitting, saying, “Yes, it is true that Sushant is leaving Pavitra Rishta by this Deepawali. There is no doubt that the show is very close to his heart, but Sushant wants to tread on new grounds now. He has been getting a lot of offers from television -both reality shows and numerous fiction shows in the last few months, but he is tired of doing the same thing over and over again. He wants to learn as well as try new and interesting things.”
Whatever the reason for quitting, we wish Sushant all the best! He will definitely be missed on the show! I wonder how this move will pan out for lovebirds Manav and Archana on the show!
