What's Happenin'

DJ Bijal's Hotel BPM Almost Here!

As most of you may have already heard, DJ Bijal’s latest project, Hotel BPM, will be opening this fall in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. This hotel isn’t just an ordinary hotel. Named after the music term “beats per minute,” Hotel BPM is targeted towards a younger, more hip crowd and will offer live dance music all day everyday.

The 75-room hotel will feature modern decor, environmentally-conscious amenities, a fully licensed soundtrack complied by DJ Bijal, streaming throughout the boutique properties lobby area, breakfast area, and guest bathrooms only, 40-inch flat screens in every room, and free wi-fi.

Although some nearby residents have been worrying about noise levels and such, DJ Bijal promised, “It’s not going to be noisy. We have soundproof walls. Neighbors don’t have to worry.” DJ Bijal kept the fact that his project was located on a residential and commercial block in mind. “The hotel atmosphere begins once you get inside,” he said. “If you’re outside, you won’t get any of that.”

This hotel is definitely more an attraction that just a place to sleep for the night. “They’ll want to stay at this hotel because it’s cool, not because they want to stay somewhere to sleep,” DJ Bijal said.

I don’t know about other people, but Hotel BPM is most definitely on my top places to visit list. They got me at beats per minute. 😉

I’m just dying to see how the hotel turns out. Keep it locked on UrbanAsian!
