Actors tweet about the loss of Shammi

From Amitabh Bachchan all the way to modern actors like Priyanka Chopra, Bollywood has been abuzz on Twitter regarding the tragic loss of screen icon Shammi Kapoor. Shammi Kapoor was one actor who transcended generations. His unique style, boyish flamboyance, and dance moves all catapulted him out of older brother Raj Kapoor’s shadow. He starred in several hit movies and was most remembered for successful pairings with Asha Parekh, Sharmila Tagore, and Saira Banu.

Unfortunately, in his later years, Shammi faced kidney problems and used to go for dialysis three times a week. As you heard here last night on Urban Asian, the legend passed away from kidney failure. Now, after his passing, Bollywood is left to grapple with the loss of a very respected actor.
