Events What's Happenin'

Hold on to your curry, because Curry Fest is here!

The Curry Festival comes to the United States for the very first time! The festival held on Sept. 17, in Tampa, Florida was inspired by a friendly family curry cook off that Drs. Sadhana and Ram Ramcharran held at home. Now the Tampa Bay International Curry Festival (TBICF) is a dream come true for Drs. Sadhana and Ram Ramcharran!

With the support of the Tampa Bay business community, individuals and local sponsors, the TBICF hopes to raise a lot of donations for various charities that the festival supports. Festival attendee’s will get the chance to sample the delicious food from local and national chefs and restaurants. There will even be a cash prize for both amateur and professional participants of the Curry Cook-off Competition!

The TBIFC is hosted by GWUA and the presenting sponsor is Drs. Kiran and Pallavi Patel Foundation for Global Understanding. The event will be organized by American Primary Care, Inc, AdSplash, Shottas Entertainment, Kamala Rani Marketing, LLC, and the numerous hard working volunteers.

The event will kick off with a private VIP event at the Tampa Museum and later, let’s not forget about the awesome performances lined up! Rumor has it that there might even be a performance by the talented starlet, Sonna Rele! Keep it locked on Urban Asian to find out all the latest on the Curry Fest!
