Malaika Arora and Katrina Kaif are furious with Mallika Sherawat for using the choreography of “Munni Badnaam Hui” and “Sheila Ki Jawani” respectively, for her latest item song “Shalu Ke Thumke” in the upcoming release “Bin Bulaaye Baraati.”
Choreographer Ganesh Acharya apparently ripped off Farah Khan’s steps because he was “inspired” by the lyrics of the track which say:
“Munni bhi maani aur Sheila bhi maani, Shalu ke thumke ki duniya deewani”
The references to the popular item numbers of 2010 are what led to the use of the signature dance steps but Malaika Arora and Katrina Kaif were not amused, you just don’t borrow signature moves like those!
BUT turns out it wasn’t Ganesh Acharya who had the idea to use the steps it was music composer Anand Raj Anand who came up with the concept!
Apparently there are two item numbers and Mallika was offered the choice of picking which one, she chose “Shalu” and had no objections to the steps. The second track went to television actress and reality star Shweta Tiwari.
As Farah Khan is currently in a twist with choreographer Ganesh Hedge she didn’t have much to say about this controversy surrounding Ganesh Acharya. At first she thought it was just a spoof but when she was told Mallika Sherawat was serious she said “in that case, I’m flattered.”
Crisis averted! Well…almost, Katrina and Malaika are definitely not flattered! Who do you think will have the sexiest item number, Katrina, Malaika or Mallika??
