London born, Ash King, is a world renown Asian pop/Soul/R&B singer.
He hails from a rich Indian musical heritage, with a family tree consisting of musical greats, including the legendary Kishore Kumar. His grandfather even composed with Nobel Prize winner, Rabindranath Tagore. Growing up, Ash King was surrounded by musical figures, with renowned musicians, such as Ravi Shankar, regularly coming to his home to visit his composer/musician father. His father assisted revered musical directors, Anil Biswas and Salil Choudry, while working alongside the great singer, Lata Mangeshkar.
His latest release is “Te Amo”, which he sang for the Bollywood film ‘Dum Maaro Dum’. The song has spent 4 weeks so far on the number one spot for the biggest Asian radio station, Sunrise Radio, and been number one in India and popular in Asian territories around the world.
Recently, Ash sat down with E4U’s Deepa Rai to talk about Ash’s journey through the music industry, his plans for the future and much more.
