Before you get overly excited- no Mallika is not going to be running for President in the US or India any time soon. However, the sultry item girl did have her dream of meeting President Barrack Obama fulfilled!
The Times of India has reported that Mallika Sherawat had a chance to meet with President Obama for tea while he was in California. The starlet was specially invited to meet with him during his campaign visit to Hollywood.
Mallika and President Obama spoke about all things Bollywood and Hollywood and, in particular, spoke about Mallika’s upcoming film “Politics of Love, Barack”. When informed of the making of the movie, President Obama actually asked Mallika to invite him to the premiere!
The movie, directed by William Dear, is a romantic comedy that has been inspired, according to the Times of India “by publicly documented election love stories that happened during Obama’s presidential election campaign.”
The site further disclosed that a source close to the actress said:
“It’s been Mallika’s dream to meet America’s President since his historic first election besides during her work on the new film she has learnt a lot about the man himself and U.S politics.”
Looks like President Obama is a huge Bollywood buff and loves Indian culture. As we mentioned earlier today, he has invited South Asian DJ Rekha to join the Easter festivities at the White House. Maybe after he finishes his term(s) in office, you may just catch President Obama doing an item number in a Bollywood movie!
