My Name is Khan (MNIK) and Dabangg take Filmfare by storm

The 56th Idea Filmfare Awards were held on January 29, 2011 and, as expected, the films that ruled supreme were Shahrukh Khan‘s “My Name is Khan” and Salman Khan’s “Dabangg.”  The dynamic duo of Shahrukh Khan and Kajol furthered their relationship with Filmfare with their wins for best actor (popular choice) and best actress (popular choice) respectively for “My Name is Khan.”  However, it was Salman Khan’s Dabangg” that won for best film (popular choice).  Best actor critic’s choice went to veteran actor, Rishi Kapoor for Do Dooni Chaar, while best actress critic’s choice went to Vidya Balan, for her outstanding performance in Ishqiya.
