Just when you thought Bollywood was all “Deol”ed out (Abhay Deol being the last to enter the fray), there’s a new Deol honing his skills to join his fam in the world of Bollywood. Sunny Deol’s elder son, 19 year old Karan Deol (also known as Rocky Deol), has just enrolled at Rahul Rawail’s top film school in Mumbai.
Like the Kapoors, the Deols have now established a film legacy of their own beginning with superstar Dharmendra Deol. Dharmendra’s two sons – Sunny Deol (pictured above) and Bobby Deol – followed their father’s footsteps into films, and had successful hits in the 90s. Esha Deol (Dharmendra & actress Hema Malini’s daughter) also made her career in the world of cinema, though she has failed to attain the stardom of her parents or step-brothers. Abhay Deol, Dharmendra’s nephew, was the most recent Deol to join the film industry. He has tasted success in art-house films and is the reigning King of that genre in Bollywood.
However, it looks like the next generation of Bollywood is preparing for their careers by learning the art of acting as early as possible. What do you think?
