Shilpa Shetty: From Karva Chauth to the Runway

The day after Shilpa Shetty’s first Karva Chauth celebrations at David Dhawan’s place, She walked the ramp for Tarun Tahiliani’s latest collection.

Shilpa Shetty looked as gorgeous as she modeled Tahiliani‘s latest collection at the Grand Finale of the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week- Spring Summer 2011 in New Delhi. She said that every time she has to walk the ramp, she gets nervous like it’s her first time all over again!

“I still have butterflies in my stomach before walking the ramp!” Said Shilpa Shetty. “It’s just during the first three seconds, because you don’t know what to expect. And this outfit is so heavy, I nearly tripped. I felt, ‘Oh God, yahaan pe toh koi retakes nahin milenge hum logon ko!”

The actress is of South Indian descent, so she’s never experienced the Karva Chauth celebrations growing up. Since Raj Kundra, Shilpa Shetty’s husband is Punjabi this was her first time and she said it was something new, a beautiful learning experience.

“It was interesting to look at the moon through a chhanni!” Shilpa said. “It was very filmi. I felt like there was music from a Karan Johar film playing in the background!”

Well maybe Karan Johar couldn’t provide the background score but Shilpa Shetty definitely looked the part of a gorgeous traditional Indian girl just like in the movies!
