#HappyIndependenceDay: Which movie ignites patriotism in tellytown's heart?

As India celebrates its 70th year as an independent nation, Indians around the world celebrate the day with their favorite activities symbolizing their freedom. Each individual has their own way of expressing their freedom and some of our favorite actors seem to have a rather filmy way of celebrating. Check out what these heartthrobs have to say about their favorite emotion evoking films when it comes to this great day:

Shivin Narang – My favorite patriotic film is Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Its a really very important and significant day for us. I remember during school we used to celebrate independence day on 13th or 14th so there used to be singing competitions and kite flying in which all the teachers and students used to participate. It was really fun and proud feeling. And on 15th holiday me my family neighbours used to fly kites, celebrate, play music have lunch together. I am really proud to be an Indian and lucky to be part of this country which has given me so much.

Saurabh Pandey – My favorite patriotic film is Shaheed Udum Singh a punjabi film based on true events. Raj Babbar played main role. I am patriotic and I love my country, respect my country and always standing for my country. I do feel one film can’t truly explain the emotion, respect or feelings I have for my and other countries.

Laksh Lalwani – My favorite patriotic film is Holiday – A Solider Is Never Off Duty. I really respect our Indian Army, Navy and Police because they play on their own life just to save our life. And I remember me and my friends used to celebrate Independence Day, we used to had a lot of fun flying kites with our families.

Krrip Kapur Suri – The biopics made on Bhagat Singh, all are my favorite patriotic film. I remember the time when we used to participate in elocution competitions and drawing competitions. We used to have lots of fun. I am proud to be an Indian.

Ankit Bathla – Border is my favorite film because it depicts the glory of our soldiers who risk their lives every second to make us safe. Being a holiday my Mom used to make pakoras and amazing food and dad would take us out for a drive. I also came to Mumbai on 15th August.

Mrunal Jain – Kranti is my favorite patriotic film because it shows the internal violence for the country can be transformed in a positive way for the right mission.

Asmita Sood – Rang De Basanti is my favorite film. That’s the first film I remember. The film really stirred something inside. We used to celebrate in our school and society.

Poonam Preet – My favorite patriotic film is Border because no other film has made me feel patriotic they way it has. Border literally gave me goosebumps and also I could relate to the film because my dad is an ex army men. Favorite memory of childhood is going to my school early in the morning for flag hosting and that feeling of singing the national anthem especially on Independence Day is something else. I always loved watching a patriotic film on Independence Day.
