Aishwarya Sakuja does an inspirational short film for Independence Day!

For the first time, actress Aishwarya Sakuja will be seen short film titled, Standing. The film is directed by Vivek Dubey. The film deals with the respect for women in our society. When asked Aishwarya says, “Independence has everything to do with responsibility and with Standing we are appealing to our citizens to not only be respectful to just nation but also begin with the basic respect for the female gender. Nowadays most of the people stand or show respect to national anthem only when we are obliged to whether its in a theater or only during Independence Day. The real power of national anthem is what we wanted to portray in this film. We should not only respect the nation but also the citizens. It should start with women.”

Aishwarya also adds,”This is my first attempt at a short film, I found the concept very entertaining and of course the message that was being sent out was of a patriotic nature. It’s always difficult to mix entertainment with patriotism and this was done beautifully here with this short film. I am an army girl and anything to do with patriotism makes me smile, I am hopeful that Standing will reach the maximum number of people and they get the right message. In a nation when a women gets respect everything follows.”
