#UdtaPunjab: Rakhi Sawant, Mahika Sharma and Bhairavi Raichura voice their opinion on Udta Punjab!

After some of the biggest filmakers from Bollywood went all out to defend the film, some popular names like Rakhi Sawant, Bhairavi Raichura and Mahika Sharma wait for the movie to be on floor. On a recent statement these celebrities have voice their opinion of why the film should hit the silver screen. Here is what they have to say:

Rakhi Sawant: Udta Punjab is all about the ongoing problems of drug menace in punjab and I knew the movie will release anyhow as I can’t see anything fake framed in the movie. It’s all about the reality. If they need to ban something then they should ban movies focusing on sex. I don’t find any reason to ban realistic movies. And drugs issues are not only in Punjab but all over. And the movie focus the outcome of uses of drugs.

Bhairavi Raichura: Films and television are a great medium for awareness. In our country people worship actors. So what better way to create awareness. Awareness cannot be created just by preaching as people don’t like being lectured. So we have to do it through entertainment. Balika Vadhu as a series is a big example of this. The intention of the show was to make people aware of the negatives of child marriage. Purnendu ji the writer always said that through this show if we can stop even one child marriage we will achieve what we wanted. The show did change a lot of peoples thinking. I personally completely support the Udta Punjab team and now I waiting for the movie.

Mahika Sharma: A film on the drug menace in Punjab Has gotten so much attention for petty issues. The controversy around the upcoming film Udta Punjab is not a big deal, but censor is not allowing the film to get release. I don’t find anything wrong with the. Movies are the best way which help us to learn what we as a nation are suffering from and the makers of the movie have done just that. Why doesn’t the censor board look about the damage actually Indian television is doing or what damage other mindless films do. I supported Udta Punjab to go on floors and happy that its now going on.
