Mika Singh has carved a niche with peppy, thumping, party songs in playback singing. Yet, for the Sultan soundtrack, the talented Punjabi singer makes a pivot to a fun and lilting romantic number. Titled “440 Volt”, this song gradually makes you imagine a dreamy and love struck wrestler, wrapped in the rustic flavors of Haryana, as he lets his feelings for his darling completely take over.
Sultan thinking of his lady love Aarfa comes alive with Salman Khan’s moves, a feel-good musical touch by Vishal-Shekhar, and catchy lyrics penned by Irshad Kamil. Check out the video for “440 Volt” below!
Sultan is an upcoming film starring Salman Khan and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Yash Raj Films, Sultan is slated for an Eid 2016 release.
