The very handsome Vikram Singh Chauhan, who is currently seen as Atharv on Jaana Na Dil Se Door, is having a blast playing his character. The actor spoke to us about the show and much more. Here’s what he had to say:
Which are the prominent shows you have done ?
The prominent shows which I have done are Million Dollar Girl, Qubool Hai and Ek Haseena Thi.
Which was you last show ?
My last show was Million Dollar Girl.
How is it working in Jaana Na Dil Se Door?
So far it’s been great working with such senior and versatile actors like Shilpa ji and Vineet ji. There is so much to learn from them.
How much you relate to the character Atharv in Jaana Na Dil Se Door ?
It was tough relating to Atharv as Atharv comes with lot of emotional baggage and in personal life thankfully I haven’t faced so much of trauma. Also Atharv takes care of his tabela and milk cows with lot of ease. I haven’t done all this in real life as didn’t get such opportunity in Metro city. It’s good I learned so many new things with this show.
How is it playing the role of Atharv ?
Playing Atharv is challenging and that’s what it makes it real interesting to play as an actor. I feel good that I get to play characters which are challenging and opposite to me in real life. I can see other sides of me in reel life.
Can you cook ? If yes what all … if no why ?
Yes. I can cook. Initially all I knew was to make Maggie. But staying in UK for 4 years taught me everything. Now you name it and I can cook for you.
Favorite Bollywood actors male and female . Why ?
I don’t have any favorites in the industry because I feel then we start getting inspired and somewhere watching them will make me enact them. This removes the creativity of me as an actor. I want to bring something new and fresh.
What changes you find in the industry over the years ?
Industry has started accepting fresh talent and the gap between TV and films has bridged over the years. I see so many new faces from TV now getting opportunities in films too.
How is it working Shivani Surve ?
Shivani is a wonderful co-actor to work with. It becomes easy when you have a good talent in front of you. Scene as a whole comes out nice.
How is it working with Yash Patnaik and Mamta Patnaik ?
Yashi and Mamti are great people to work with. They always bring a story which not regular run of the mill story. There is so much to do as actor in their story-line. This is my second show with them as lead after million dollar girl and I share a close bond with them all these years now.
What is the feedback you are getting for the role?
So far people are quite satisfied the way I am playing Atharv’s character. I get hundreds of positive messages on social media. So I guess I doing pretty fine.
Any interesting fan experience to share?
All fans are special to me. Be it the one who send one line messages or the ones who make sketches and collage every other day. They like my work and I love them for acknowledging my work.
Three things no one knows about you.
If no one knows that means they are secret and better kept secret.
What are the hobbies you indulge in?
I like reading and lately I have started liking swimming too.
Any phobias you have? please share with incident.
I had a phobia of water, but not anymore. A scene required me to jump in water so I learned swimming and now quite comfortable.
How do you unwind yourself ?
By going for a trip.
