Rule For Hats and Fascinators: Hats do flatten hair, there is no getting around it! Therefore, blow dry out and don’t forget plenty of hairspray, this will add bounce.

To The Side

To The Side

Balance out the fascinator with your hair pulled to the opposite side of your head for a gorgeously asymmetric look that balances proportions perfectly.

Get the Look:

  • Use a large barrel brush to blow dry the hair, as this will give that movement seen in the look and ensure the vintage wave is in place.
  • Depending on the size of curl desired use small or medium tongs. Start from the ear downwards and from the front of the head on both sides.
  • Work with four sections each side depending on hair length, alternating by curling one section clockwise and the next anti-clockwise, pin each section once curled and as you go along. Take out the pins and gently rake out each section to pull together – don’t use a comb or brush and do this delicately just to join the tonged sections.
  • Tuck one side behind the ear and sweep over the shoulder

Volume Ponytail

Add a seasonal summer touch with this perfect voluminous ponytail.

Get the Look:

  • Apply a dime-size of heat-protecting serum to clean wet hair and blow-dry.
  • Flip the hair on your crown upside down. Spritz with hairspray, then tease the hair, using a comb. This is to create volume on just the top of your crown.
  • Sweep all of your hair up into a high ponytail. Apply a lightweight mouse to smooth down any fly-aways.
  • Finish with a spritz of hairspray.

Poker Straight

Poker Straight

Everyone knows how great this simple style can look, but how hard it is to replicate the salon sleek finish at home.

Get the Look:

  • Let your hair air dry or rough dry it with a blow-dryer before using your hair straightener.
  • Spray with a heat protectant.
  • Comb your hair to ensure there are no knots and that any hair products have been evenly distributed.
  • Use a good quality hair straightener made from ceramic plates.
  • The key to straight hair is to work in small sections, from the bottom to the top of your head. Tie or pin the majority of your hair up and then divide the left over hair at the nape of your neck into 2 inch (5 cm) sections.
  • Finish with a blast of cool air from your hair dryer’s cool shot button to set your style.
  • Add a small amount of serum to your strands to stop your hair from going frizzy or fluffy.

  • Rub some shine serum between your palms and apply it to your locks to add shine and prevent any fly-aways.
  • Grab a clear elastic and carefully gather that sleek hair into a low ponytail. Place the pony at the nape of your neck and secure it with the elastic.
  • Finish by spraying some hairspray onto the bristles of your brush to smooth out any remaining frizz.
