The Indian summer can take a toll on ones soul and if you’re living in a city like Mumbai which is inhabited by millions of people, the heat might just get to you even if you are a celebrity. So we asked our actors the following questions. What is your style statement in the summer? What you prefer to wear in the summer and why?
Aishwarya Sakhuja : I prefer wearing all cotton and loose comfortable wear. You will find me in skirts and pajamas with loose malmal shirts mostly. Style statement in such a weather definitely is to remain smelling good. It’s absolutely impossible to remain fresh in such heat so make sure body odor is taken care of.
Amal Sehrawat: For the morning Good pair of joggers pant with narrow bottom, good fit tshirt, nice pair of sport shoes and binny cap. During the day I prefer a pair of loose linen pant and linen loose shirt and sandals and evening I prefer wearing trousers and polo tshirts or shirt and formal shoes.Fashion and comfort seldom goes hand in hand…people may choose comfort but I always prefer fashion…..So no matter what the season is fashion remains the ultimate comfort for me.
Krishna Gokani: Cotton and only cotton. Preferably whites and bright colors because is comfy and let’s my skin breathe.
Amruta Khanvilkar : Style statement in summers is lots of colors and prints also loose clothes a cap and lots of sunscreen and water. I love to wear loose shorts and ganjis or ribbed boyfriend denims.
Gunjan Utreja: For me being comfortable is most important, regardless of the season. During summers I opt for a smart casual look for the day mainly in cooling fabrics like cotton and linen. Whereas for evening events, semi-formal yet edgy style where I can experiment with vibrant colors and funky shoes is what I enjoy sporting. I like wearing light colors, pastel shades and white being my favorite is found in abundance in my wardrobe.
Rashami Desai: I like to wear cool soothing clothes which are easy no the eye too. I like to wear casual clothes like skirt and crop tops.
Gaurav Sharma: I love wearing t shirts, shorts and flip flops. I wear mostly whites and light colors with a suitable cap to save my face from the sunlight.
Shashank Vyas: I prefer wearing cargos and colorful t-shirts. I wear lot of white color as that is soothing to the eye and personality both.
Himmanshoo Malhotra: I prefer to wear dropcrotch pants, shorts, bermudas and torn jeans along with t-shirts in different colors especially white and light blue as they are cool keeping humid weather in mind.
Sanjay Gagnani: In summers, I prefer to keep it Minimal yet achieve a Cool look by wearing a Loose T-shirt with Joggers Denim/Pants and a Stylish Cap with Sunglasses and loafers.
