After giving an intense performance in Badlapur, Varun has been in talks to play Firoz Konkani. Furthermore, Jazbaa actor Irrfan Khan is going to play tough cop Rakesh Maria.
Consequently, the shoot of the film is already in progress with the historic scene of Gulshan Kumar’s murder at the Andheri Jiteshwar Shiv temple was in completion. Commenting on the film, Ashok Nanda stated,
