It’s incredible how time goes by so quickly! The hit movie, Kabhi Kabhie, directed by Yash Chopra released back in 1976! Even though Kabhi Kabhie released 40 years ago, it is still being discussed abhi abhi in today’s society! The popularity of the film is understandable based simply on the incredible star cast. The film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Raakhee, Shashi Kapoor, Waheeda Rahman, Rishi Kapoor, Neetu Singh, and Simi Garewal. That was definitely the who’s who of Bollywood during that time period! The movie was one of the most popular romance-based films and spanned two generations in the story! Apparently, the concept for the movie came to Yash Chopra when he was reading a poem by his long time friend Sahir Ludhianvi. What makes the film extra special is that Sahir went on to pen the lyrics for the movie!
Rishi Kapoor shared a couple of pictures (one of the team and one of him dancing!) from Kabhi Kabhie on his Twitter account to celebrate! Amitabh Bachchan too commented on the film on his Twitter! Seems like the movie is just as unforgettable to the team as it was for the fans! Kabhie Kabhie gave us such wonderful romantic dialogues and songs and is an eternal classic! We wish a happy 40 years to the team of Kabhi Kabhie!
