Vidya Balan inspires Pankit Thakker. If you’ve seen Kahaani, featuring Vidya Balan, you will be wary of the ordinary-looking guy, who knocks on your door and says a polite ‘Nomoshkar’.
The innocent-looking insurance agent in the film, Bob Biswas, who is actually a hit-man, has acquired a huge fan following.
Bengali actor Saswata Chatterjee‘s iconic assassin Bob Biswas in Kahaani has become larger than the film, and now taking it a notch higher on tv will be our very own Pankit Thakker in &TVs Agent Raghav.
In one of the upcoming episodes Pranit Thakker will be playing a role modeled on Bob Biswas, the character from the film Kahani who had terrified the nation and captivated it with the cold-blooded, yet the callous manner in which he carried out his assignments.
We got in touch with Pankit Thakker and this is what he says,
“This character has a great deal of complexity. Could have easily gone wrong by expecting me to overact in it; but the director and me were on the same wavelength and we etched out an understated performance. The directors brief was simple he wants a subtle and effective performance which rises above most others in the story. I am happy that he has got out a superlative performance from me.”
As per media reports, it is already a fact that a TV serial expanding Bob’s life as a working-class assassin is underway by the director Sujoy Ghosh.
So would Pankit Thakker showing interest in the coveted role?
When we asked him, he said
“Absolutely, I am game, a role of this kind will add an exciting new twist to my acting career.”
Sujoy Ghosh, are you listening?
