Hrithik Roshan, the man with the body of a Greek god and the face of an angel, celebrates his 42nd birthday on January 10th!
To honor the occasion, we’ve listed ten reasons Hrithik still makes our hearts pound! (Warning: the images below may pose a fire hazard!)
1. Those eyes!
“Eyes you could get lost in” is a cliche as old as time, but when it comes to Hrithik, it definitely rings true! Those mossy green peepers are certainly enough to make most women (and some men!) melt into a puddle.
2. That body!
Can you say #FitnessGoals?! From the moment Hrithik first appeared onscreen in Kaho Naa…Pyaar Hai, he had us all rushing to the local gym to renew our memberships. And what’s more impressive is that he looks even better at 42 than he did in his 20’s!
3. His killer dance moves
Dancing is a dying art form in Bollywood, especially among our heroes. But Hrithik is among a handful of stars who can make any style of dance look easy! When he moves his body like a rubber band, it certainly makes you wonder…is he that bendy in other areas of his life, too?
4. His sense of humor
Hot guys who don’t take themselves too seriously are about as easy to find as unicorns. Sure, Hrithik probably spends a lot of time maintaining his good looks (that hair isn’t gonna highlight itself!), but he’s also not afraid to look like a goofball now and then. And we have to admit, seeing this side of him makes him even more attractive!
5. He’s a family man
Although Hrithik and Sussanne Khan divorced in 2014, Hrithik still puts his family first! He’s constantly spotted hanging out with sons Hrehaan, 9, and Hridhaan, 7. He’s also close with his ex’s family, and has even been spotted with them post-divorce. Breaking up is hard to do, but full marks should be given to parents who manage to remain civil throughout the process! And hey, who doesn’t love a man who’s good with kids?!
6. His confidence
He’s sexy and he knows it! To be fair, a lot of hard work goes into developing that perfect six-pack, so if he’s a little cocky, who can blame him?
7. He’s a great kisser (or so we imagine!)
Onscreen kissing still qualifies as uncharted territory in Bollywood. Most actors look about as comfortable locking lips with their costars as two preteens at their first school dance. Hrithik, on the other hand, plays tonsil hockey like a pro! We unfortunately can’t speak from experience, but we suspect kissing Hrithik is one of the more enjoyable aspects of being his costar. Can Katrina Kaif, Aishwarya Rai, or Barbara Mori confirm this?
8. His versatility
Hrithik has played a superhero, a quadriplegic, a secret agent, a con artist, a mentally disabled man, and a Mughal emperor…among other roles! He straddles the line between romance and action, and unlike other male superstars, hasn’t allowed himself to be pigeonholed into a single genre. Sixteen years into his career, we’re all still excited to see what Hrithik is going to deliver!
9. He looks good with EVERYONE….no, really!
It’s more than just two people making a beautiful couple; Hrithik has scorching romantic chemistry with almost all his female costars! Between his classic, beloved pairings with Aishwarya and Kareena, his new favorite costar Katrina, and his rumored future costar Sonam, you can’t go wrong when you cast Hrithik as your leading man. He’ll even have YOU sweating in your theater seat!
10. He’s a little bit dirty!
Hrithik may be the type of guy you can bring home to Mother–if you’re lucky!–but behind that clean exterior lies a bad boy at heart. He’s the ideal blend of sweet and spicy, which just about makes him the most perfect man in the film industry!
