The 11th edition of Blenders Pride Fashion Tour 2015 commenced in Gurgaon, presenting a transcending collaboration of creative inspirations and fine influences. This year, the audiences witnessed a collaboration never seen before when the song Deewani Mastani’ from the much awaited film, Eros International and Bhansali Productions’ Bajirao Mastani was soft launched at the Blenders Pride Fashion Tour.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali is all set to present to audiences his greatest work yet with the period drama, Bajirao Mastani starring Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra.
Given that Bajirao Mastani is the kind of film that comes once every 50 years,it continues to remain one of the most anticipated films in the history of Indian cinema .
Hence it comes as no surprise that the first song to be launched from the film , Deewani Mastani, will be launched in a larger than life manner with Deepika Padukone traveling to 2 prime cities to promote the song. The launch kick started with Deepika turning showstopper for designer Anju Modi at the Blenders Pride Fashion week.
This was the first time that the highly guarded song was screened on a public platform. Couturier Anju Modi who has designed several looks in the film showcased her line inspired by Bajirao Mastani.Deepika Padukone brought alive the spirit of Mastani, a multi-faceted woman with progressive attributes, as she walked the ramp donning the finale creation, her original outfit from the ambitious song.
Anju Modi’s collection for Bajirao Mastani captured the atmosphere with its sheer brilliance as models came forth on the ramp, with ensembles that highlighted marked influences of the traditional Marathi outfits and authentic Persian costumes. Each piece was a page from the book of history, illustrating the era of Bajirao, a man of steel, undefeated at war yet overcome by the matters of the heart. How gorgeous does she look?
The movie is all set to release worldwide on 18th December 2015 .
