Nilam Kenia: We wanted the look to be modern and chic
After doing a marvelous job styling actress Madhuri Dixit’s hair in the brand-new series Fame Game, noted makeup and hairstylist Nilam Kenia has once again flaunted her brilliance in the latest magazine featuring the actress.
Talking about the thought process behind the stylish look.
Nilam says, “We were aiming at keeping the look modern and chic. And since the outfit was amazing and very busy, we decided to go for hair that compliments it rather than being busy too, in order to maintain balance and harmony in the look. The hair had to be simple, classy yet chic.”
She adds, “It was great working on a cover of such a big magazine and that too with a megastar like Madhuri Dixit. She gives her inputs but she trusts her team also and gives us a free hand so we can be creative with her.”
Nilam is always up for new challenges and says that styling for a show and styling for a magazine are very different and need varying levels of expertise.
“Styling for a magazine is different as it is more modern and we can experiment with the looks. While for a movie, the styling has to go with character and be more realistic,” Nilam Kenia says
