Bong beauty Rituparna Sengupta talks 'Teenkahon'!

4National Award-winning actress Rituparna Sengupta is celebrating the release of her latest flick, Teenkahon. Helmed by debutante director Bauddhayan Mukherji, Teenkahon documents the changing face of morality, the degeneration of values, the increasing pollution of the spoken language and the changing social fabric of Bengal through three stories.

Speaking about her character in the film, Sengupta says,

“The role that I essay is that of Anamika Guha, the wife of an ACP of Kolkata Police. She appears to be a simpleton, doesn’t really nurture ambitions but has her own share of the small joys of life. She wants to love and be loved. But her turbulent marriage meant life had other plans for her.”

Director Bauddhayan Mukherji, one of India’s leading advertisement filmmakers, appears to have made the transition from the small screen to the silver screen seamlessly. On working with Mukherji in his debut film, Sengupta gushes,

“Bauddhayan knew exactly what he wanted and knew exactly how to get that out. Rarely have I seen such disciple on set. I loved Bauddhayan’s ‘sweet command’ over his actors and unit members!”

Teenkahon also stars Ashish Vidyarthi, Sabyasachi Chakarborty, and Suman Mukherjee in lead roles. The film released in West Bengal on September 11, 2015.
