The human evolution is stepping into a supernatural transition. Are you ready for it? Led by a symphony of synchronization, Kanika Goyal’s “Bio:Sonic” collection at Jabong Stage during Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 gave an insight into what the future was going to be. The ace designer reinvented the amalgamation of man and machine through her bold, eveningwear collection.
The models strutted down the catwalk like a civilization of super humans as they emerged even stronger in their shiny exteriors, their meticulously built suits boasting of seamless processes.
The men’s wear collection channelled the energy through supremely tailored suits, structured flare, fitted long coats and boxy sweatshirts. Minimal aesthetics and asymmetrical gowns were the highlight for women’s wear along with formal suits spotted in the collection. Sharp cuts, edgy hemlines and digitally printed T-shirts made an impactful statement speaking of revolution.
Shemanaged to bring a metamorphosis through her collection’s colour palette. Emerging from subtle ivory and powder blue and pink, there was a marked transition into valiant green, cranberry and bold rust. Not leaving any stone unturned, she also fused various textured fabrics like leather, fur and mesh forming a gorgeous pattern and making a style statement with each garment.
