Amitabh Bachchan, Varun Dhawan and Akshay Kumar to star in Waqt remake!

Bollywood actors spanning 3 generations, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Varun Dhawan are all set to star in a remake of the 1965 film, Waqt!

Apparently the late Ravi Chopra‘s wife, Renu Chopra plans to remake Yash Chopra’s 1965 cult classic Waqt, but based on the present times. Reports say that the production house wishes to see Amitabh Bachchan in Balraj Sahni’s role, with Akshay Kumar in Raaj Kumar’s role and Varun Dhawan would reprise Shashi Kapoor. The original film was one of the biggest hits of its time and the first of its kind! Waqt was about a wealthy man with a shady past who loses his family in a tragic natural disaster. It follows a broken man and 3 brothers who find their way back to each other in unfortunate ways.

The original Waqt starred Balraj Sahni, Sunil Dutt, Shashi Kapoor, Raaj Kumar, Sadhana, Sharmila Tagore and Achala Sachdev. If anyone can re-create their magic, we’re sure it’s this all star cast of heroes!
