Aamir Khan will be seen playing a father in his next film Dangal and while the talented actor has been prepping the casting team has been auditioning thousands of girls that could fit the role of Aamir’s daughter. They’ve auditioned over 21,000 girls and they’ve finally finalized the girls!
The role of Aamir’s daughters is actually quite tough as the actresses need to be slightly athletic and willing to undergo strenuous training because they are going to play wrestlers. Director Nitesh Tiwari wanted actresses that were new to the industry which is why it took so long to find the perfect fresh faces for the role. After intense deliberation, actress Fatima Shaikh and trained ballet dancer Sanya Malhotra have been finalized for the roles to play Aamir’s daughters in Dangal.
Dangal is based on the true story of the lives of wrestler Mahavir Singh and his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat. Previously, Aamir Khan said,
“Dangal is not just a film about wrestling but an emotional journey of a father and his two daughters, which teaches us to empower our girls.”
