The movie sees two young people with diverse heritages united in their love of music. The ageless songs of the 1960s. Woven around the sound track of those songs she portrays her rise from a simple working girl to a singing/dancing sensation. She becomes glamorous and confident.

As the movie progresses her acting goes from strength to strength. From a battered woman to somebody who defies the world. Her life has come full circle. She believed in the role and the concept of the film with all her heart. As she explained, her acting is imbued with the blood of her heart and will make all the young girls cry and then cheer her on.

The journey of this film was not easy for her. She took no other assignments. She lived the life of her character Swara. Spoke like her walked like her and thought like her and it shows when you watch the rushes.
