Amole and Partho Gupte go behind the scenes with 'Hawaa Hawaai'

Watch Amole and Partho Gupte talk about their journey through films and the four other sons in ‘Hawaa Hawaai’ Behind The Scenes Videos.Two brand new behind the scenes videos for ‘Hawaa Hawaai’ have been released, giving a sneak peek into the making of the film, including casting Partho for the lead role and finalizing the ‘Paanch Pandavs’. The first video depicts the journey undertaken by the father-son duo of Director Amole Gupte and Partho Gupte and shows their blossomed friendship.

Partho’s playful antics highlight the love between him and his father who he speaks about,

“I always used to keep wondering, what is he doing, why is he sitting on that laptop and just staring at a screen and moving his fingers. I don’t remember what he was writing but I am guessing it was Hawaa Hawaai.”

Amole Gupte talks about his ‘four other sons’ who play the roles of Partho’s friends in the movie. He describes, with love and admiration, the qualities of each one. He states,

“They are not what you see them as, they are very rich actors.”

Talking about the importance of each of the four actors, he goes on to state how completing these five Pandavs was in itself a daunting task. With their casting in place, he knew that 90% of the film was complete. Check out the video on the Pandavs!

‘Hawaa Hawaai’ is a story of the triumph of the human spirit; friendship and enjoying the journey of making one’s dream come true. The story follows Arjun who moves to the big city with his mom and sister and discovers a hidden world of in-line skating through coach Lucky, who mentors kids to become skating champions. While Arjun starts nursing the dream to learn  skating under Lucky, his four friends get together to make this dream come true for him. In this endearing story of hope and aspirations, will Arjun’s dreams take flight?


The film stars Partho Gupte and Saqib Saleem. Presented by Fox Star Studios and written, produced and directed by Amole Gupte, the film is slated to release on 9th May, 2014, and is touted to be the first film on in-line skating in the world.
