Anurag Kashyap’s Ugly has been shortlisted for Directors’ Fortnight -an independent section held at the Cannes Film Festival. The makers have launched a unique poster to give the audiences a sneak peek into this psychological thriller.
The digital poster aptly captures mysterious elements like the cat crossing a dark lane while the street shop’s light blinking away. The filmmaker is using a very unique approach to promote this film. Anuragh Kashyap has also changed his twitter handle to ‘UGLYAnurag’ and his many followers are also doing the same. The film also marks Anurag’s return as a director after Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2. The director has given the Indian cinema many path-breaking films like Dev D, Gulaal and Black Friday.
