I am just simply happy the year has ended with a good film (insert praying emoji). Tiger Zinda Hai (TZH) is like a James Bond thriller action film that will keep you on edge from beginning credits to end.

The film was a much larger journey than just Tiger and Zoya being spies. I was transported into director Ali Abbas Zafar’s world of showcasing what if India and Pakistan never parted in 1947 and what if we just brought both together to fight off the enemies was spectacular. There were points where my teeth were clenching or I was simply on edge wondering who from the “good guys” is still alive and how many more minutes until the next thing explodes. There was depth in the screenplay and its dialogues. Director and writer Ali has raised the scale of an Indian action thriller film to another level.

Additionally, the casting by Shanoo Sharma is an amazing ensemble. Of course, we have the two heroes of our film, Salaman Khan, and Katrina Kaif who not only looked exceptionally divine on-screen but their performances deserved an applaud at the end. Salman was always there to save the day whether it was fighting a pack of wolves or an army of terrorists. And Katrina surprises us at uncalled moments through the film, I have grown to love her even more. Other actors like Paresh RawalAngad BediKumud Mishra, and villain Sajjad Delafrooz had impeccable unforgettable scenes made the film complete.

Diving into the locations and cinematography of Tiger Zinda Hai. If you’ve been following me, you already are aware of my obsession with the song Dil Diyan Gallan by Atif Aslam. But what really completes this track is the picturization. I was eager to see this song come together on the big screen and I surely got goosebumps. This particular track was filmed between Austria and Scotland. Other parts of the film were shot in Abu Dabi, Morroco, and Greece. Marcin Laskawiec defnitely deserves an award for the cinematography of the film. If I had to compare, I have not seen a film so well shot this year as TZH.

Vishal-Dadlani have created an album that you can listen to anywhere. But like I mentioned previously, Dil Diyan Gallan is simply breathtaking. Irshad Kamil’s lyrics, Atif’s voice, and Vishal-Dadlani’s music they have managed to put together a Yash Chopra like track together. Neha Bhasin’s version of the same track is just as beautiful.

All in all, Tiger Zinda Hai is a MUST watch film and totally worth your time, money and entertainment value. Handing this film a full 5 stars!
