The series not only shows snippets of Veerappan’s interviews, but also interviews with other notable villagers, family members, including his daughter, and historians/researchers who have done extensive research on his life and legacy.

ZEE5 Global does a wonderful job of showing both sides to Veerappan’s story – the “good” and the bad – and allows for multiple perspectives to be displayed throughout the series, even ones where his family and friends considered him to be indestructible.

The producers and director also tell the story of Veerappan through interview clips while also simultaneously showcasing a reenactment of events with actors. This gives the viewer the opportunity to see firsthand the events that unfolded while they’re being explained through a voice-over.

As a viewer who didn’t know Veerappan’s story before watching the series, it’s interesting to learn all facets of his life and story, including those of police officers trying to catch him, and the varying opinions of his enemies. Veerappan’s outlook regarding police or government officials was drastically different from other journalists or researchers, which is interesting to watch.

‘Koose Munisamy Veerappan’ is now streaming on Zee5Global, and has received a 9.1 rating from IMDB!
