Sara Ali Khan gives a career best performance as Usha Mehta, and brings nuance to the character as she integrates herself within the Congress party. It’s amazing to see her bring Mehta’s plight and struggles to life, while also showing how involved Mehta was in ensuring that the unity messages from the freedom fighters reached all over India.

Iyer does a brilliant job showing the growth of the underground radio system during the fight for independence, and brings in new talent as the supporting cast. Iyer’s focus on Usha’s involvement in the Congress party growing deeper makes the audience relate to her activism, and why she makes the decisions she does.
