Biography: A simple boy next door, with no filmy links, Ranveer Singh is amongst the few chosen ones who are very lucky to end up making their debut under one of the greatest banners in Bollywood, none other than Yash Raj Films!
Very early in life, Ranveer had a strong leaning towards the art of performing. This inclination led him to work hard and struggle towards becoming an actor, post his return from USA, where he completed his BA from Indiana University in Bloomington. Ranveer realized that being an actor in an industry, so thickly populated with the kith and kin of Bollywood stars, was going to be very difficult. Thence, he persuaded his second vocation, that of a creative writer. He worked as a copywriter with agencies like O&M and JWT. However, Bollywood beckoned him and to his great fortune, he got his debut role, that of the main male lead in the blockbuster Band Baaja Baaraat (2010) alongside Anushka Sharma.
He was again paired opposite Anushka Sharma in Yash Raj Films’ Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl in 2011 but the film failed to repeat the magic of Band Baaja Baaraat. Ranveer was also seen in Lootera and in 2013 he made blockbuster hit with Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.
Gunday was then released in 2013 and currently he is filming Finding Fanny Fernandes and Kill Dil.
