Darasing Khurana pledges to be sensitive about climate change!

The entire world is talking about his topic. Climate Change. Two words, no matter which country you are in we all need to hold hands together to save our planet.

Mr. India International 2018 Darasing Khurana was a speaker at the 6th World Parliament of Science, Religion, and Philosophy, which was organized by the MIT World Peace University. The session focused on the topic, ‘Climate change – Impact on world peace.’

Darasing, an active philanthropist, believes that being a public figure, it’s imperative to work towards the welfare of society and make an impact. He is the Brand Ambassador of DATRI (an NGO, which is the world’s second-largest blood stem cell donor’s registry). He works towards saving the lives of patients suffering from blood cancer and thalassemia. His recent social initiative, Pause.Breathe.Talk Foundation aims at helping those suffering from mental health issues. The model has also been working extensively to arrange water in the drought-stricken areas of Maharashtra. And being part of this conference dedicated to climate change is yet another initiative that aims at bringing about a change and inspiring people. Talking about it, Darasing says,

“It’s very disturbing how climate change is affecting people across the world and it’s imperative that we do our bit to contribute towards betterment. I pledge today that I will spend at least one day a week without an air conditioner. That’s the first few steps towards my contribution to climate change.”

Darasing was among the many star guests who attended the online event,  including Anusuiya Uikey, the governor of Chhattisgarh; Bhupesh Baghel, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh; V Muraleedharan, Minister of state for external affairs, Government of India; Dr. Vishwanath Karad, president – World Parliament of Science, Religion and Philosophy; Rahul V Karad, secretary-general, organizing committee managing trustee & executive president, MAEER’s MIT, Pune and executive president MIT-WPU; and Uma Bharti, former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, among others.
