Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan who essay sisters in the rustic film are always at loggerheads with each other. Vishal Bhardwaj’s Pataakha is loved by one and all, and the positive word of mouth is ensuring more and more audiences wanting to watch the film.

The youngsters especially are thoroughly enjoying the humor of the movie and finding Pataakha highly entertaining. Critics have loved Pataakha and have gone gaga over the film.

Commenting on the response the film has received Ajay Kapoor, Producer, and Managing Director, Kyta Productions said:

“I am very happy with the growth trend of Pataakha on Saturday. The humor is connecting with young people very well.”

Produced by Kyta Productions, B4U Motion Pictures, and Vishal Bhardwaj Films, is a comedy-drama directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and stars Sanya Malhotra, Radhika Madan, Sunil Grover, and Vijay Raaz. The film hit the silver screen yesterday.

Champa (Radhika Madan) is the older sister — as reflected by her nickname Badki. And then there’s Chutki (Sanya Malhotra) aka Genda aka Marigold, as her English-speaking husband calls her lovingly. While Badki is a tempestuous simpleton who is happy with her beedis, gets along more with cows than humans and aspires to own a dairy one day, Champa is a dreamer, and wants to be a teacher. They live with their father (played by the ever-brilliant Vijay Raaz) in a village in Rajasthan and their lives are driven by a tooth-and-nail sibling rivalry and one-up-(wo)man-ship. Champa and Genda do not get along, and it’s the biggest bane of their existence.
