Anil Sharma has introduced his son Utkarsh Sharma and a new face Ishita Chauhan in this movie.
Ishita started her career in Aap Kaa Surroor and Hijack. As a child artist, she also acted in many TV commercials – Fortune Cooking Oil, Vaseline, Chandrika Soap, Dettol Liquid Handwash, Aaron Colours, Kinetic Nova, Colgate, Medimix Soap, Medicare Shampoo, Rejoice Shampoo, Nestle are a few advertisements to name. She was a brand ambassador for a girl’s clothing brand named Peppermint. After her studies, she returned to acting in the hit Asha Black. Ishita made her Bollywood Debut in Anil Sharma’s Genius, opposite Utkarsh Sharma, released on 24 August 2018.
Anil Sharma is the man behind the iconic “Gadar: Ek Prem Katha” among others. His son, Utkarsh, who played Sunny Deol’s and Amisha Patel’s son in that film, is being introduced as the male lead in Anil’s new film “Genius.” The female lead is Ishita Chauhan, who was chosen from over 4000 girls who auditioned.
The world has changed. I have never worked so hard even during shoots. I am working from 7 a.m. to 3 a.m. And this gain is just a seemingly blind perception. South India does not do promotions on this crazy scale, Hollywood does not either.

Directed by Anil Sharma, Genius is an upcoming romance thriller introducing Utkarsh Sharma and Ishita Chauhan. The film also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Ayesha Jhulka, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles and is set to release tomorrow.
